Portals

A portal is a section of your WEB site that is not available to public visitors, but requires a user name and password for access.  Portals contain restricted content specific to the user.  Portals can be designed to serve the needs of your staff, your customers, your partners, and your suppliers.

There are many examples of portals available to consumers.  Credit card companies provide online access to balances and transaction details.  Banks provide similar information on accounts and balances, with functions that support funds transfers and bill payments.

A portal can provide similar services to your customers.

Portals can also provide more extensive information, such as documents, videos, training materials, and so on.
